Join a diverse and global marketing team working on industry leading, internationally renowned events and content sites across an eclectic sector mix including Design, Cruise, Maritime and Logistics.

This fabulous team deliver 19 annual events across 15 different countries. From London to Amsterdam, Dubai to Saudi, Manilla to Hong Kong, Dusseldorf to Miami plus many more.

Two leading news sites sit within the portfolio, delivering hundreds of thousands of monthly impressions and significant revenue to the business.

Through a mix of agency and in-house expertise, marketers play a vital role in the ongoing success of the portfolio.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will be focused on driving digital excellence across the Maritime, Cruise & Design Portfolios within Informa Markets EMEA, leading motivating and developing a high-performing team of digital marketing champions, fostering an environment of testing, learning, and optimising.

This candidate should be both creative and analytics-led, always looking for opportunities to raise the bar to contribute to the overall success of the campaigns through effective digital marketing strategies and successful implementation.

This is a London based role and the successful candidate will be required to be in the London office 2/3 days a week, ensuring they are available to build, train and lead their team.

Job Description

The Group Digital Marketing Manager, and their team, will be responsible for establishing, with the brand marketing teams, the digital marketing strategy to ensure each channel plan is designed to meet the business goals and OKR’s, within the budget set.


Working closely with the wider marketing team with four direct line reports that you will train and develop, you will champion digital best practice, instil strong testing & reporting practices, and be encouraged to generate new ideas using data-driven insights and the latest digital technologies.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver customers by optimising omni-channel campaigns involving PPC, Web, Email and Social.

Key Responsibilities


Leadership


  • Support team as they navigate cross-functional collaborations across sales, marketing, content and design
  • Support team in collaboration with the brand marketers, to align the digital channel strategy with the overall event and product strategies establishing priorities
  • Advise on marketing budget relating to digital channels to maximize spend and ROI
  • Build a strong relationship with event marketing leads and key stakeholders
  • Own and Manage relationships with key channel suppliers
  • Implementing strong campaign reporting, testing and optimisation practices with a focus on conversion rate optimisation
  • Build internal network and work closely with Marketing Performance Manager
  • Introduce project management methodologies or tools to effectively manage multiple campaigns and initiatives
  • Support team with problem solving and quick decision making with unexpected challenges and situations


PPC

  • Across PPC campaigns manage team to optimize spend, test new campaigns and gather learnings to continuously improve performance
  • Manage PPC Supplier relationships with teams, arrange training and regular feedback sessions


Email


  • Support your team to drive the email marketing strategy to ensure that audiences are considered thoroughly, and data best practice is implemented
  • Work with the team to develop better email templates, automated journeys, personalised experiences and a/b tests

Website

  • Support team as they feed into event website plans to optimize the different customer journeys and improve UX, and implement an SEO strategy with support from the Web team and brand marketing teams
  • Support teams on testing planning and applications

Social

  • Feed into social media strategies supporting your Digital Marketing Executives and the Community Executive

Strategic Innovations

  • Introduce and manage the use of Generative AI tools to enhance performance and efficiency keeping in line with Informa’s policy
  • Feed into best practice creative designs for digital marketing channels
  • Regularly share findings, ideas and innovation from around the business, industry and digital marketing

Team Development

  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and best practice
  • Identify any skill gaps and training needs of the team organising relevant training 
  • Identity external training and conferences/events for the team to attend
  • Champion the adoption and optimisation of digital marketing technology and digital marketing
  • Build a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the team
  • Standardise reporting across portfolios
  • Introduce templification where applicable to drive efficiency and maximise performance

  • Figma or equivalent
