Group Product Manager, Data
Job Description
You will be responsible for designing advanced analytics products; applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to data to advance and enable the key mission outcomes. In this role, you will support all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions, through data collection and ETL, from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. This role requires special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights. You will be at the forefront of developing a new generation of data products that will drive measurable business results that make a difference for our customers.
What you'll do:
- Lead requirements gathering for a big data platform across the company while anticipating future needs.
- Implement and measure experiments around feature development, product usage and data value
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Legal, UX, and other cross-functional teams to identify and develop holistic solutions to data needs throughout the product organization
- Partner with different business stakeholders to provide thought leadership in experimental design and statistical analysis to measure incremental lift and marginal returns. You will design and evangelize various A/B experiments such multivariate testing, geo matched market, pre/post analysis, causal inference, etc
- Develop and execute prototyping and viability assessment of algorithmic solutions for data products
- Adapt and design model requirements inclusive of full functional specifications for ML development
- Engage with prospects and customers to discover underlying business drivers, identify challenges, devise solutions, and demonstrate capabilities
What you'll bring:
- Passion for conceiving, designing, building, and shipping innovative products
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Data Science (including Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks), Big Data Analytics, and Virtualization
- 4-year degree, or equivalent experience, in a math or engineering discipline (e.g. Computer Science), MS preferred
- 8+ years of experience in two or more of the areas of focus: Data Analytics & Engineering, Big data, AI, Machine Learning & Modeling, NLP
- at least 5 years in a product management role preferably in B2B SaaS building and growing API-driven products.
- Skilled communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences with demonstrated experience engaging, influencing, and leading cross-functional teams across engineering, go-to-market, and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities and maintain close attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically, to synthesize data and draw insights, formulate scope and requirements, and validate hypotheses based on data
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities and maintain close attention to detail
- An entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently to deliver results
- Experience developing/launching data products within databases, analytics, big data, related area, etc
- Theoretical and practical experience in NLP, Computer Vision (CV) and Information Retrieval.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and query languages such as SQL
- Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Azure, Pendo and a plus
