Group Product Manager - Developer Platform

The Team:

Reddit has an amazing history of individual and community driven innovation. With no official support thousands of user scripts and self-identified bots run against our API and enrich the experience Redditors have on our platform. The goal of the Reddit Developer Platform team is to take our user’s creative energy and transform Reddit from a content platform to an experience and content platform.

We are looking for a Group Product Manager for our new Developer Platform. 3rd party developers will use our developer platform to build and launch Apps to improve the core experience for all Redditors. As a lead PM for Developer Platform your goal will be to build products that support our most advanced developers. This includes advanced capabilities and services for professional development teams and monetization including payments and ads integrations. You will work closely with engineering design and other product teams to ensure developers can achieve success on our platform.

Responsibilities

• Create the vision building roadmaps driving execution and delivering on outcomes.

• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to set a long-term strategy.

• Analyze information to determine recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

• Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.

• Confer with systems analysts engineers programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities performance requirements and interfaces.

• Consult with customers or other departments on project status proposals or technical issues such as software system design or maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of product management experience

• Extremely strong product sense execution and communication skills

• Experience taking a software product from concept to launch

• Experience launching one or more monetization products (e.g. ads payments)

• Experience working with APIs either launching API products or deep experience building with them

• Experience with user experience design and deep understanding and incorporating user empathy into products

• BS in Engineering or other relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience defining and executing strategy for developer-facing products

• Experience interfacing with developers and developer communities

• Experience managing a team of direct reports

• Hands-on software engineering experience for personal projects or prior work experience

• Experience launching gaming products
