Role Overview:
As the Group Product Manager for the Discovery Pillar you will be the driving force behind shaping and enhancing our user discovery journey. We are seeking an accomplished leader with a proven track record in managing core discovery products (such as recommendations and search) and a deep understanding of Generative AI. In this role you will lead a team of 3-5 Product Managers steering the overall strategy development and optimization of our discovery products. Key Responsibilities:
• User-Centric Approach: Champion a user-centric approach to product development incorporating user feedback and data insights to enhance the overall discovery experience.
• Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our discovery experience aligning it with the company's overarching goals and user expectations.
• Deliver results: Ship 0 to 1 features and enhance existing capabilities that enable the pillar to achieve its goals for input and output metrics
• Generative AI Expertise: Leverage your past experience with Generative AI to enhance and innovate our discovery products ensuring they deliver unparalleled user value.
• Core Discovery Product Leadership: Bring your expertise in managing core discovery products such as recommendations and search to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Team Leadership: Lead mentor and inspire a team of 3-5 Product Managers fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and high performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering design data science and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of product development initiatives.
• Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies applying this knowledge to keep our discovery products at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management with a focus on core discovery products.
• Proven experience with Generative AI machine learning data analysis and a strong technical understanding.
• Successful track record as a high-impact IC PM and leading and developing high-performing product management teams.
• Experience working in a social subscription or top-tier media company is highly desirable.
At Scribd your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role level and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.
In the state of California the reasonably expected salary range is between $143000 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $231500 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].
In the United States outside of California the reasonably expected salary range is between $118000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $220000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].
In Canada the reasonably expected salary range is between $147000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $218250 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
