The Ideal Candidate
Entersekt is looking for a Group Product Manager to lead initiatives and outcomes for our payments security and authentication product portfolio. Your passion for the payments space is only matched by your desire to design great user experiences while fighting fraud. You channel your expertise in e-commerce, payments security and data-driven risk modelling to develop and execute product strategies aligned with Entersekt’s strategic vision. You have deep familiarity with various participants in the payments space including Card Issuers, Processors, Acquirers, Merchants and Card Networks. You focus on building solutions that operate in highly regulated environments while rethinking how user journeys can be improved within the boundaries of these industry specifications. You’re eager to move the industry forward with your active participation in standard bodies and evangelizing for the customer. You’ve perhaps worked as an engineering or solutions architect and have gained hands-on knowledge of various technical aspects around authentication, payments security and fraud prevention. You’re a product person at heart and can define product strategies, curate product roadmaps, lead direct and cross-functional teams in a hands-on manner.Â
The Role
This Group Product Manager role will be responsible for Entersekt’s payments and transaction authentication product portfolio’s functional and financial success. You will own the strategy and drive product development of product features that deliver secure and unique payment authentication experiences to millions of users globally each day. The role will require deep expertise of EMV 3-D Secure standards and protocols. You will leverage proven expertise to design and develop products that are compliant with PCI-DSS and PCI-3DS requirements. This role requires deep understanding of the various components, technologies and moving parts that make up Entersekt’s 3D secure product, platform, and operations. You will regularly interface with Card Schemes and payment networks globally to achieve multi-party compliance and certification while promoting Entersekt’s unique value proposition. The role hinges upon expert-level understanding of both rules-based risk engines and machine-learning driven models for fraud prevention and risk-based authentication.Â
This position requires extensive and ongoing stakeholder management across Entersekt and beyond.  You will guide and mentor other members of the product team while collaborating closely with Entersekt colleagues across commercial and technical functions globally. You are committed to Agile product development and take pride in ensuring you articulate clear achievable objectives for your teams, enabling them to build incremental value into our product offering. You are passionate about customer success and look for every opportunity to gather, analyze and incorporate feedback. Finally, you are data driven and lead by example by championing the use of “metrics that matter” to measure, monitor and improve on a continuous basis.Â
Responsibilities
- Lead a team through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative features and products that make up Entersekt’s Payments product portfolio
- Communicate product vision, progress, and results of these services to clients and stakeholders across the organization to ensure adoption and awareness.
- Define and execute the multi-generational portfolio roadmap for Entersekt’s Payments portfolio. Develop product narratives, requirements and specifications for product features and enhancements.Â
- Represent Entersekt on global bodies such as EMVCo and influence standards evolution. Serve as internal subject matter expert on these specifications.Â
- Interface with Card Schemes such as Mastercard, Visa, American Express to champion Entersekt product offerings and contribute to best practices.Â
- Take a hands-on approach to the design and implementation of rules engines and machine learning models to increase authentication success rates, minimize fraud and deliver great user experiences.Â
- Own and execute all activities to achieve compliance and certification for products in portfolio.Â
- Perform the role of product and domain expert to commercial teams in client pre-sales engagements.Â
- Champion the design and implementation of Entersekt’s Context Aware authentication solutions across products and user journeys.Â
- Serve as external spokesperson and evangelist to media and industry influencers as required.Â
- Stay current with payment industry trends, opportunities, and mandates to ensure our workflows and products stay compliant and ahead of the curve.
- Own commercialization of the Payments portfolio including the development of full set of product documentation, knowledge-based articles, white papers to implementation guides and API specifications, sales enablement and marketing content.Â
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Holds 7+ years in technology product management or related role.Â
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technology qualification is requiredÂ
- Experience defining product strategy and functional specifications for payments solutionsÂ
- Familiarity with EMVCo 3-D Secure protocol and/or PCI-DSS standards will be a huge advantage.
- Understanding of encryption, cryptographic protocols, and security best practices is also beneficial.
- Expertise with risk engines and machine learning models in e-commerce and payments fraud related use cases is desired.Â
- Familiarity with OAuth (Open Authentication) protocols or alternative two-factor authentication (2FA) methods is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience architecting and developing complex consumer-focussed multi-component product lines in a regulated environment.Â
- Strategic and tactical experience designing, building, and executing scalable processes from scratch, ideally in an operations-intensive environment.Â
- Proven experience in an agile, globally distributed software development environment and methodologies.Â
- Track record of introducing new tools and applications in both on-premises as well as SaaS and cloud-native architectures.Â
- A deep understanding of technical communication systems including the use of APIs to enable communication between the core platform, internal and third-party integrations.
- Ability to leverage data and customer feedback to continuously improve throughput and performance of products.
- Valid work permit for United States of America.Â
