Group Reporting Manager

Job Description

We're not only about reporting the numbers - we partner with the business, bringing our technical expertise to the growth and development of IG Group.

So, who are we?

Hello, we’re IG Group. No, not Instagram – though we're a pretty big deal ourselves. We’re a global, FTSE 250-listed company made up of a collection of progressive fintech brands in the world of online trading and investing. The best part? We’ve snapped up many awards for our top-class platforms, forward-thinking products, and incredible employee experiences.

We believe in financial freedom. And our purpose is to help ambitious people achieve it. Around 400,000 people use our groundbreaking technology and forward-thinking platforms to trade the financial products they know and love.

Did we mention we have offices in 18 countries? Yes, when you join IG Group, you'll have the chance to work across multiple brands, with people all over the world. Join us for an exciting future and let’s innovate together!

Your role in the team:

The Group Finance department within IG is a team of global professional accountants, who are independent thinkers.

We support business growth through our commitment to the highest standard of financial data accuracy delivered via best-practice governance and controls. We deliver this by exercising our accounting and financial knowledge to support stakeholders in making better-informed decisions through strategic insights whilst adhering to a high standard of conduct through our professional integrity.

The Group Reporting Manager will report to the Head of Group Reporting within the Group Reporting team. The role is key to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of both internal and external financial reporting and financial control of the Group, as well as providing advice and guidance on technical accounting matters to the Group. This role will support the Group Reporting Team in achieving its overall objectives.

What you’ll do:

The Group Reporting Manager will also play a key role in liaising with and supporting, all other areas and departments in IG that impact the financial position of the Group. This is achieved through the preparation of the group accounting policy and the assurance of compliance with these policies.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supported the month-end close consolidation process in HFM, working with local financial controllers and financial operations teams to keep month-end deadlines in line.

You’re also a confident, creative thinker with a knack for innovating. We know that you know every problem has a solution. Here, you can try new ideas, and lead the way in creating inspiring experiences for our clients and everyone around you.

We don’t fit the corporate stereotype. If you want to work for a traditional, suit-and-tie corporate that just gives you a pay cheque at the end of the month, we might not be for you. But, if you have that IG Group energy and you can stand behind what we believe in, let’s raise the bar together.

What you’ll need for this role:

  • The ability to influence, persuade and drive outcomes

  • Strong technical knowledge with experience in multi-currency consolidation
