Job Description
The Exteriors Group Senior HR Generalist is autonomous, r eliable, positive, and consistently motivates and supports employees in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter and Corporate Constitution principles, internal practices, and regulatory compliance. This position will work closely with the Group Human Resources Manager on various continuous improvement projects; actively identifying gaps and implementing improvements. They encourage and exemplify open communication, responsiveness, confidentiality, respect, and fairness with and among employees.

Physical Demands/Work Environment - This position requires the ability to perform work while sitting, standing, average mobility to move around an office environment and able to conduct work at a computer. Ability to travel and willingness to potentially transfer to a division in the future is highly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADMINISTRATION
- Provide support in continuously improving the effectiveness of the Human Resources function by supporting all programs, policies and procedures including but not limited to employee relations, onboarding, staffing, retention, recruitment, training & development, communication, compensation, payroll & employee benefits, organizational development and organizational change.
- Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna employee's Charter to employees.
- Support efforts to update and implement the Employee Handbook.
- Provide key support for the Workday system.

- Support employees and managers regarding benefits programs, including but not limited to: health and welfare, retirement program, tuition reimbursement, COBRA, life / disability (short and long term), employee assistance programs, paid vacation and holiday programs, wellness, leaves of absence, etc.
- Administrate and maintain accurate current personnel records in various HRIS systems
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION
- Ensure employee confidentiality and data integrity are strictly maintained whether verbal, written or electronically transmitted.
- Be a champion and example of Magna's Open-Door process.
- Maintain open communications with all departments.
- Help define and determine policy interpretation and answer any employee inquiries regarding policies
- Help support bi-monthly All Employee Meetings, prepare presentation deck; prepare and distribute general announcements as needed
- Attend and present updates for department meetings as required
- Manage Magna Exteriors ESE internal postings page
GLOBAL MOBILITY PROGRAM / IMMIGRATION LEAD
- Support global mobility program; domestic & international assignments, immigration requirements and relocation coordination.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Support annual performance management training.
- Assist customers with annual performance review actions, mid-year review and 90-day review as needed.
- Support and coach managers regarding performance related inquiries, including performance coaching and talent development.
RECRUITING / HIRING / SEPARATIONS
- Support recruiting efforts working with the various groups / managers to define the opportunities needed to hire and retain a talented and dedicated workforce.
- Support development of recruiting partner / vendor management, panel member identification and evaluation; work closely with purchasing and legal on new and existing relationships.
- Partner with hiring managers to strategically evaluate candidate competencies and potential, coaching and training as appropriate.
- Continually source and assess top talent; post positions internally and externally; screen resumes for cultural and technical fit; conduct phone screens; coordinate interviews and feedback; develop and deliver offers; draft new hire paperwork; assist in the facilitation of the on-boarding process and orientation; responsible for immigration documentation and administration where applicable.
- Leverage various resources to source qualified and diverse candidate pools using social networking, internet research, and networking at events to attract both active & passive candidates. Support recruiting through the use of campus relationships and professional job fairs.
- Responsible to offboard employees, preparing employee separation notices and conducting exit interviews; recommend process improvements, identify trends, and implement corrective actions or improved processes accordingly.
OTHER DUTIES
- Assist with projects at Group and Divisional level, as well as special events
- Serve as back-up to the Group Office HR Manager
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience .
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- 5+ years' work-related experience.
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills in Applicant Tracking Systems, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of employment -related laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with managers and understand the business.
- Must be highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with superior accuracy and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and task driven workloads simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to coach stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Must have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred but not a requirement.
