Group Setup Coordinator
Job Description
The Group Setup Coordinator is responsible for the review of documentation received for Employer Group high level setup, both new and renewal. This position will be responsible for setups based upon different client types and classifications and will assist other members the team as requested.
Location:
This is an onsite position in Irving, Texas (8500 Freeport Parkway Irving, Texas 75063)
Essential Functions:
- The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
- Maintain group setup configuration for group health plans:
- Review the documentation presented for completeness and correctness
- Design and configure group hierarchy structure
- Partner with internal team members and/or departments to complete group setup in our system
- Review and audit setup with proper team/s to confirm accuracy
(80%) - Execute communications both internally and externally:
- Ensure consistent and accurate communication with clients
- Provide customer service internally to our customer service, claims and account management departments
- Assist in tracking renewals, new groups, new group contracts and other configurational change requests and status for internal teams
(15%) - Metrics and Performance:
- Follow established metrics for quality, relevance, and accuracy
- Meet metrics and client performance guarantees
- Identify and raise with manager continued improvement/training needs
- Assist in developing and improving existing processes and tools
- Track and resolve issues regarding plan set up, benefit clarifications and benefit changes
- Work with manager to identify enhancements that would streamline processes

- 1+ years related work experience in Medical Claims Administration or Health Industry experience.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box, adaptability to changing requirements, and capability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to compare SPDs and Benefit Grids against plan set up.
- Detailed at documenting findings and reporting back to applicable departments.
- Claims experience to understanding all the processes a plus.
- No supervisory/management experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
