Job Summary: The Group Supervisor – Design & User Experience position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while supervising a team. The Group Supervisor – Design & User Experience is responsible for the productivity and performance of the Product Design team. The role requires leadership and coaching skills as well as acute attention to detail to drive performance in alignment with company goals.


1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Design compelling customer experience solutions with regards to functionality, usability, and compatibility of ISN products
  • Lead initiatives to simplify User Interface (UI) and improve User Experience (UX)
  • Establish design requirements and ensure guidelines are followed
  • Facilitate and evolve ISN’s product design language, its components and design patterns, from concept to implementation
  • Document design guidelines and actively share knowledge on how to utilize components and patterns
  • Develop wireframes and/or mockups for usability testing
  • Provide design direction and guidance to Product Designers to ensure deliverables are completed in timely manner and requirements are met
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to shape ISN's strategic vision, product development process, and culture of user-centered design
  • Recommend new technologies and tools to optimize product design processes
  • Present design solutions to internal stakeholders and company executives and incorporate feedback into the design cycle
  • Incorporate and conduct qualitative and quantitative research into the design process and justify design decisions using research
  • Participate in and/or facilitate Design Sprints
  • Review and direct team members’ work, as well as provide recommendations to management regarding performance scores, compensation, and promotions for those under their supervision
    o Participate in and lead individual performance reviews
    o Participate in recruiting process, including interviewing and recommendation for additional interviews
    o Develop plan to meet team goals and objectives set by Management Team
    o Manage additional/multiple projects that run simultaneously
  • Support and participate in the organizations’ Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
  • All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, ISN Management or their Supervisor
  • Other tasks and projects as directed by the management team

2.0 Requirements
2.1 Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

2.2 Knowledge and Skills

  • 8+ years’ experience in product design (UX/UI)
  • 2+ years’ experience in supervising product designers
  • A user-centered approach to problem solving that leverages research, analytics, empathy, strong design intuition, best practices, and accessible design
  • Proficient in Figma
  • SaaS and Mobile UI design experience ideal
  • UX architecture / customer input facilitation experience desired
  • HTML and CSS experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven, team environment
  • Personal initiative
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Desire to succeed and assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

3.0 Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing and/or speaking 8 hours per day
  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 15 lbs.

ISN is based in Dallas, TX. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.

Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
