Job Summary:

The Grower Technician will work with the production teams to produce high quality plants in the most efficient way.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Assist growers in monitoring environment and reporting abnormal conditions promptly. .
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work zone.
• Schedule and monitor irrigation
• Perform routine testing of irrigation water (EC/pH/ORP/DO/Temp) & notify supervisor of abnormalities in results.
• Sample collection of crops for internal and/or external analysis.
• Data collection and recording
• Routine scouting for pests and disease.
• Ability to learn how to mix/load/apply chemicals and fertilizers with supervision.
• Ability to learn and operate greenhouse/nursery equipment, as well as basic maintenance and upkeep.
• Learn and work with various software systems (Artemis)
• Communicate challenges and issues to supervisor, actively work to improve processes.
• Ability to direct employees from other departments
• Other duties as assigned.
