The Growth Manager (Part-Time) will assist the Growth team focused on membership with a variety of different roles. The manager will write copy focused on driving membership growth and retention, build and schedule emails in our ESP, tally results and provide the larger team with insights on how to move the membership forward. Occasionally, if needed, this person will help execute different experiences on our site that connect with our off-platform marketing efforts.Â
This person will be focused on increasing conversion rates, improving retention, and encouraging habitual experiences with Forbes that support important KPIs. Candidates should be able to work seamlessly with growth marketers to implement campaigns that drive growth for the consumer business. You are innovative, resourceful, think outside of the box, and have no problem jumping in to help get the job done. You can easily read about the Forbes brand and take those learnings into new and compelling copy initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires little oversight or direction. This person has significant experience with email marketing and ESPs, building emails as well as some experience with copywriting. This is a copy-heavy role.
This is a part-time, temporary position for 25 hours/week.
Responsibilities
- Write marketing copy to drive growth for the consumer subscriptions business including, but not limited to, for paid marketing, email marketing and on-site experiences
- Analyze the performance of these marketing efforts and conceive of new tests that can help maximize efficiencies and improve performance
- Build several emails per week (sometimes per day) aimed at driving growth. Segment audiences thoughtfully so that our communications are targeting the right users at the right time
- Assist the larger Growth team with a variety of operational tasks, as they arise
- Assist growth marketing managers with keeping the marketing calendar timely and up-to-date
- Regularly communicate and translate data-driven test results into actionable insights to the director of growth, membershipÂ
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of email marketing experience, preferably with one or additional ESPs, such as Cordial, Sailthru, MailChimp, etc.
- 2+ years of copywriting experience aimed at driving consumer subscription growth
- Proven experience using qualitative and quantitative data to execute strategies
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex concepts and analysis in a clear succinct manner
- Be a self-starter
The range of hourly rate for this role is : $50.00 - $75.00
