Position Summary

Avantax is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager thatwill function as the content lead and be responsible for driving the growth of our affiliate network by developing a robust content strategy that attracts qualified tax and financial professionals to Avantax. This individual will collaborate closely with the Director of Growth Marketing and the Business Development team to create and disseminate compelling content across marketing channels that effectively engage prospects and generates new leads for our Regional Directors. This individual will play a key role in shaping the narrative and messaging that showcases the benefits and opportunities of affiliating with Avantax.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive content strategy that effectively uses Avantax's differentiators to attract tax and financial professionals to affiliate with Avantax.
  • Develop compelling growth marketing campaigns, including lead-nurturing emails, video scripts, case studies, collateral materials, social media advertising, and more.
  • Measurement and optimization of content marketing efforts on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development, Communications, and Public Relations teams to create compelling content that effectively communicates the benefits and opportunities of affiliating with Avantax.
  • Ensure the distribution of content across various marketing channels to reach and engage prospects.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Leverage Business Development insights to inform content strategy and messaging.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including affiliates, internal audiences, and strategic partners. Attend and assist with specific Business Development events to learn key insights and develop relationships.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
  • Leverage SEO research to create pillar services content and topic clusters that will govern our content marketing efforts.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar for content that appeals to our target segments, prospect funnel stages, and broader audience.
  • Assist with developing the growth marketing content for digital campaigns and Avantax.com, including new pages, campaign landing pages, and keyword-rich blog content.
  • Lead research to drive thought leadership content and collaborate with subject matter experts to write white papers, eBooks, presentations, and more.
  • Assist with bi-weekly sales and marketing reports for leadership review.
  • Edit, proofread, and improve content written by others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • 5-6 years of agency experience or in a similar role.
  • Knowledgeable on SEO best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, analytics tracking, social media and email marketing platforms.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content.
  • Ability to develop content that provokes engagement.
  • Strong proficiency in a variety of computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
