Job Description

Puck is looking for a Growth Product Manager to help us improve ROI by monitoring specific product metrics and looking for innovative ways to attract new users, retain existing ones, and increase the company’s customer lifetime value. 


The Growth Product Manager will report to the Chief Strategy Officer (co-founder), and work collaboratively with engineering, growth, product, data, operations, and editorial at Puck to improve user experience, optimize the customer’s journey through our funnel, identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition and retention, and formulate a product growth model. The role will help to develop Puck’s product vision across surfaces and build a culture that is motivated, diverse, equitable, and inclusive. 


Your primary responsibility will be to stimulate growth at every stage of the user journey through various activities, such as improving activation, streamlining onboarding experiences, facilitating new feature adoption, increasing engagement, and upselling existing customers. 


Since launching in September 2021 Puck has quickly grown a loyal subscriber base and a robust ad-revenue business. The product is at an exciting inflection point as we continue to introduce new talent and coverage areas, develop more features and tools to enable personalized and relevant experiences for readers, and grow new revenue streams.


Responsibilities:

- Setting and ensuring the company achieves specific KPIs in product-related metrics, such as activation, acquisition, conversion, retention, referrals, and revenue;

- Performing detailed product analysis which covers the product management funnel;

- Implementing behavioral psychology methods into the buying funnel to improve conversions and boost product sales;

- Improving various aspects of customer experience, such as early marketing impressions and new user onboarding;

- Finding new ways to make our products more profitable and identifying the best outreach channels;

- Determining and monitoring the effects of the metrics optimization;

- Cooperating with the marketing and leadership team members to ensure quick implementation of product growth plans;


Requirements

- Proven experience in Marketing or Data/Project Management;

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business;

- Analytical mindset and deep understanding of data visualization techniques;

- Expert knowledge of various testing methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate testing, incrementally testing, usability testing);


Preferred Qualifications: 

- Passion for Puck, and knowledge of the product recommendation and/or media space;

- Experience working with editorial organizations is a plus;

- Puck is a distributed team, and past experience working with remote teams is a plus;
