Job Description

About Anzen:

The $100 billion U.S. specialty insurance market encompasses many of the most challenging and complex insurance risks. Most of this market is still quoted and transacted via email, spreadsheets, phone calls, and PDFs.

Retail insurance brokers across the U.S. rely on market making brokers-what the industry calls the wholesale market-to place much of this specialty insurance. Anzen is quickly becoming one of the preferred wholesale solutions for connecting retail brokers to underwriters using the latest technology. Anzen has built the only comprehensive data set to train AI to streamline market making for corporate risks of all sizes and types.

Anzen is a team of technology and insurance professionals with years of experience building enterprise software, insurtech, underwriting, and insurance distribution businesses. We partner with leading insurance carriers and retail brokers to deliver best-in-class specialty insurance solutions to SMB, mid-market, and public companies.

Job Description:

This role is perfect for someone with a go-getter attitude who’s excited about using AI and technology to make an impact. As a Growth Specialist, you'll proactively source and cultivate new distribution relationships, crush production quotas, and manage activity metrics. You'll build relationships with targeted retail partners through virtual and in-person meetings, working closely with the Anzen team to fuel growth and ensure business success.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategize and Succeed: Help shape Anzen's distribution strategy for your territory.
  • Achieve and Exceed: Smash production quotas with your hunter mentality.
  • Measure and Manage: Track and meet weekly, monthly, and annual activity metrics.
  • Collaborate and Grow: Work with the Anzen team to drive growth, continuously learn, and contribute to our success.
  • Be the Expert: Know Anzen’s target agency demographics inside out, including commercial insurance specialization, minimum revenue, geography, and executive risk opportunities.
  • Promote and Present: Coordinate and schedule meetings for Regional Distribution Leads and the Head of Distribution to showcase our offerings to targeted agencies.
  • Follow Through: Ensure all paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and on time to finalize appointments.
  • Stay Organized: Keep our CRM system updated with accurate prospect and appointment information.
  • Align and Update: Work closely with Regional Distribution Leads and the Head of Distribution on target agencies and appointment scheduling strategies. Provide regular updates on your activities and outcomes.

Who You Are:

  • Educated: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experienced: Any experience in sales support or outbound calling is a plus, especially in insurance or financial services.
  • Communicative: Excellent at engaging people over the phone and through emails.
  • Tech-Savvy: Excited about AI and technology, and how technology can boost your performance.
  • Organized: Strong attention to detail, especially in managing paperwork and documentation.
  • Independent and Collaborative: Able to work on your own and as part of a team.

What You Bring:

  • Hunter Mentality: You’re proactive, results-oriented, and love achieving goals and hitting well-planned targets.
  • Exceptional Communication: Stellar verbal and written skills.
  • Resilience: You can handle rejection professionally and keep pushing forward.
  • Time Management: You know how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Self-Motivation: You’re driven, eager to learn, and ready to grow with us.

What's In It for You:

  • Growth Opportunities: This role is a stepping stone to more senior positions within Anzen.
  • Dynamic Environment: Join a fast-paced, innovative company where your contributions matter.

We are committed to supporting a diverse and hard working team that puts in the necessary time but also desires balance between health, family, and work. We fully embrace remote work lifestyles while centering our weeks around Pacific Standard Time (PST) with a general orientation to San Francisco as the geographic HQ.
