Job Description

Seeking a Tester/Analyst/Systems Engineer to support Software/Hardware-in-the-Loop (S/HWIL) testing of interoperability between Link-16 and Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS).

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, document and execute interoperability testing.
  • Design test architectures and operate the associated test tools such as IES and NSITE
  • Perform data analysis and report issues.
  • Analyze and develop Joint Interface Change Proposals (ICPs), implementation details and standards. Identify and document issues and provide recommendations.
  • Support the Joint CCB processes.
  • Support JITC and AIC certification processes.
  • Support iSMART processes and documentation.
  • Track and document trouble reports. Support the IBCS CCB/development processes.


Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related field with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.

Desired Skills/Experience
  • Software and or Hardware-in-the-Loop testing
  • Army air defense/IAMD communications systems
  • Link 16 software development, test, engineering, or analysis
  • Writing test plans and procedures, test setup, execution, and reporting
  • Basic networking (IP, routing)
  • Integrating and troubleshooting software and hardware within a simulation environment
  • Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficiency in written/verbal communication

Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Work Schedule/Location

Work performed primarily in an office or lab environment on Redstone Arsenal, typically M-F between hours of ~0800-1700. Some flexibility in work schedule can be accommodated; some after-hours and weekend work might be required.
