Shift5 is the observability platform for onboard operational technology (OT). We’re a rapidly growing scale-up that specializes in cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, and compliance for operational technology (OT) systems across Defense, aerospace, and rail. Shift5 is seeking a 1099 GTM Operations Contractor to support our growing marketing operations and revenue operations needs. We’re looking for a results-oriented, customer-focused, team player with the creativity, expertise, and demonstrated success to help Shift5 continue its rapid growth trajectory. 

This is a cross-functional role directly supporting Sales and Marketing and will report directly to the Demand Generation & GTM Operations Manager. 

In this role, you will:

  • Assess, route, and execute inbound marketing operations requests from internal stakeholders to support sales and marketing activities
  • Execute digital marketing tactics that drive acquisition, nurture, and conversion of prospects across the sales and marketing funnel and lifecycle, including creation of email nurture campaigns, landing pages, paid digital campaigns (LinkedIn, Google Ads), and more
  • Provide weekly insights and performance analytics to internal stakeholders on funnel performance, including lead source analysis, marketing campaign effectiveness, and marketing revenue impact
  • Leverage a martech stack including 6Sense, Marketo and Salesforce, to execute highly-targeted ABM campaigns in the defense, aviation, and commercial rail verticals
  • Assess, route, and execute inbound marketing operations requests from internal stakeholders to support sales and marketing activities
  • Achieve 100% SLA adherence on project completion, and support attainments of key business KPIs, including lead generation targets by vertical, funnel velocity, and funnel conversion rates
  • Ensure strong data hygiene and process adherence in Salesforce, and a willingness to learn and adapt processes over time
  • Support sales operations requirements, including the generation of quotes, opportunity management, and account management
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, data science, business, or social sciences
  • An interest in aviation, cybersecurity, defense technology or B2B/B2G/public sector marketing
  • 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing and/or marketing operations
  • Proficient knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce), or other CRM/marketing automation tools (Marketo is a plus)
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Strong relationship building skills 
  • Must be outcome-oriented and capable of operating in a fast-pace environment 
  • Team-oriented, highly motivated with the ability to think independently, take direction, communicate ideas clearly, and meet demands on schedule
