Job Description
10pm to finish.
Work Environment
• Full time position
• Must be willing to work in outdoor environment – Cold/Wet/Heat
Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled or needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Will work under direct supervision of the Safety Department and have ability to work well with others.
• Will be trained in and must follow GMP and Safety guidelines.
• Check Inbound Trailers (Seals, Paperwork, Load Shift, Load Locks, Picture)
• Check Outbound Trailers (Seals, Paperwork, Load Shift, Load Locks, Picture)
• Trailer Temperature/Fuel Checks (Every 2 hours)
• If reefer is off – open to see if loaded
• Coordinate with Fuel Trucks (Make sure they know which trailers to fill)
• Yard Checks (Security)
• Trailer Seal Checks (Verify trailers from docks are sealed, if loaded)
• Update Yard Commander (Inbound, Outbound and yard checks)
• Emails for every load that arrives. Emails for all issues.
• Update POs in Axapta
• Refuse loads (if they don’t meet criteria)
• Direct loads (LB, CH1, Dock, etc.)
• Will conduct periodic facility perimeter checks using a pre-approved checklist.
• Perform other reasonable job-related duties as requested.
Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• Prefer to have 3 to 6 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Language Skills - Must be able to read and write in English, bi-lingual a plus. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to remain calm in intense/difficult situations
Physical Requirements
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk and sit.
• The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Employee must submit to post offer, pre-employment drug test and employment history check.
• Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Equipment/Software Used
• Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
