Network Infrastructure

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

What you will learn and contribute to

The team designs and develops highly integrated System-on-Chip optical engines for Telecom, Data Center and Networking applications. The team is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to develop hardware test boards to characterize and test very high speed electro-optical devices and to develop test platforms for both R&D use as well as for manufacturing. You possess a wide variety of skills in the lab and have a desire to learn.

Your skills and experience

You have :

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • RF and electronic board design skills including schematic capture and PCB layout
  • DC level analog design and debugging skills
  • Laboratory experience with high speed RF measurement equipment
  • Experience building and debugging complicated test systems
  • Ability to independently interface with vendors and other third parties
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Graduate degree in electrical engineering, or related field, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience with optical modules and/or high speed electronics.
  • Experience developing software in Python, MATLAB, or C++
  • Lab experience working with optical components and instruments
  • Theoretical understanding of coherent optical communication systems
