Here's the Gist:

As a Hardware Design Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing on hardware designs that help proliferate use of Silicon Carbide (SiC) in power systems

The Day-to-Day:

  • Lead a team responsible for system designs based on Wolfspeed SiC power components.
  • Manage a team of talented hardware and firmware engineers on multiple system design projects
  • Develop and execute on technical design proposals for new power converter systems, and make modifications to existing designs based on customer specifications
  • Collaborate with Wolfspeed customers and applications engineering teams on innovative solutions to real world problems

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 5 years of industrial experience in power electronics with at least 3 years in leading teams engaged in the design and test of hardware
  • Deep understanding of power circuit topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC)
  • Hands-on experience in a power electronics lab setting using test equipment to analyze switching behavior
  • Previous experience as a team leader or a people manager
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel domestically and overseas - 5%
