Your Role and Responsibilities
At IBM Research we invent things that matter to the world. We are driven to discover. With more than 3000 researchers in 12 labs located across six continents IBM Research is one of the worldโ€™s largest and most influential corporate research labs.
We are seeking an experienced researcher in TCAD simulation who will be working with a world class team on research and development of the most advanced technology nodes continuously pushing the boundary of logic technology.
You should have one or more of the following skills:
  • CMOS device physics advanced logic device architecture design
  • Familiar with process flow and device interaction for advanced nodes
  • Familiar with device test and characterization methodology
  • Deep knowledge and hands on experience with state-of-the-art TCAD simulation thermal modeling mechanical simulation or molecular dynamic simulation
  • Define and execute DOE (Design of Experiment)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill. Expect to work closely with cross functional teams


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • In depth numerical simulation experience in semiconductor device semiconductor materials or relevant topics: 5 years
  • Model development experience: 5 years
  • Experience in mechanics simulation or thermal modeling
  • Strong communication and collaboration skill
  • Ability to debug errors and solve issue


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Device analysis and data mining experience
  • Coding skills in JMP/Python/C++/Java
  • Project Planning
  • Major in electrical engineering physics or materials science
  • Experience in simulation tools: COMSOL Ansys Sentaurus Interconnect or Sentaurus Process
