Schedule: Full Time
Salary Range: $93K-$103K
OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking the right candidate to join our Hardware Engineering team. This position requires a self-motivated, innovative, and pro-active individual, willing to take responsibility for project planning through completion.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science plus 5 years of related experience
- Master’s plus 3 years of related experience
- PhD plus 0 years of related experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review proposed architecture changes.
- Provide input to design and complete a variety of engineering tasks simultaneously.
- Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
- Develop technical solutions, create Basis of Estimates, review transition plans, coordinate project buy-in across multiple groups; and update technical orders and engineering drawings.
- Identify hardware components to replace obsolete parts and use system specifications to verify new items are Form Fit Function replacements.
- Coordinate detailed project plans across multiple groups, develop comprehensive project plans across multiple hardware and software groups.
- Coordinate project team meetings and interact with customers.
- Attend technical interchange meetings, coordinate design review presentations.
- Collect and coordinate project status data.
- Provide direction on activities in accordance with organizational goals, motivate team members and facilitate team meetings.
- Identify, and analyze problems; plan, direct tasks and provide solutions.
- This position also requires the ability to manage and provide status on multiple projects concurrently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Hardware Engineering including the ability to assess impacts of hardware changes to existing architecture and make recommendations for design changes.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment to include digital voltmeter, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and network/spectrum analyzers.
- Experience reading and using schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and problem-solving purposes.
- Experience analyzing engineering specifications and drawings.
- Experience examining, measuring, inspecting, or testing defective parts for conformance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Understanding of configuration management and engineering processes to include an Engineering Review Process.
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands on experience with DoD logistics processes
- Agile methodologies experience
