Our embedded hardware engineers craft and innovate on truly unique complex controls platforms. As our Hardware Engineer II you will be responsible for helping set the bar for our ever-improving design cycle in a quest for world-class excellence. You'll work alongside other talented hardware engineers to coordinate and develop multiple software platforms employed in various appliances across all three of our brands. This includes requirements development and management, design validation testing, team reviews, process growth, and continuing to build on and create new hardware designs. You'll work with internal customers from a wide variety of disciplines alongside your teammates to support other teams and engineers. You will build for the future by:

• Set the pace in the designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting embedded electronics.
• Employ modern practices in hardware development and Agile/Scrum team development
• Develop and refine engineering requirements based on marketing and user needs.
• Peer-review designs and test systems.
• Have your voice heard on technology opportunities, architecture definitions, and reusability strategies.
• Identify and escalate business risks and opportunities to leadership
• Work on advanced technologies including AI, ML, and IoT
• Contribute to unit, system, and automated platform test strategies
• Hone your hardware craft in multiple domains

What we are looking for from you:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical engineer, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with embedded controls design
• Experience developing complex embedded platform designs.
• SMT manufacturing and test systems development experience
• A firm grasp of the interactions between firmware and electronic components
• Develop detailed design documentation
• Endpoint and regression testing and test development
• Evaluate 3rd party work and processes for compliance with internal standards
• Support lab and engineering personnel
• Assist Test Engineering personnel in production environment
• Carefully balance between timeline and requirements delivery
• Ability to innovate for the long term
• Altium and PADs experience
• Analog, Digital, EMC, and Power systems understanding
