Hardware Reliability Lead

As a Hardware Reliability Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and technical compliance of our hardware products throughout their lifecycle. As a technical expert, you will work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to establish and maintain high standards in hardware reliability, drive continuous improvement, and handle issues effectively. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing product design, manufacturing processes, and vendor compliance.

What You'll Do:

• Implement and Oversee Testing Strategies: Collaborate with internal teams and hardware vendors to design and oversee testing strategies that enhance terminal compliance with specifications.
• Quality and Specs Compliance: Ensure vendors adhere to technical standards and specifications through regular technical assessments. Provide data to the supply chain team to hold vendors accountable.
• Technical Authority in Discussions/Negotiations: Provide technical expertise during negotiations with vendors and suppliers, supporting procurement and supply chain teams to ensure fulfillment of technical requirements and full accountability of vendors.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering Teams to establish and enforce hardware reliability standards and best practices from product design to mass production.
• Metrics Monitoring: Establish and monitor key hardware reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement in product design, manufacturing testing, and quality checks throughout the device journey.

Who You Are

• Strong Manufacturing and Supply Chain Knowledge: You have direct experience working in manufacturing or supply chain environments, or you have been part of technical teams that are deeply integrated with these functions (5+ years)
• Hands-On Engineer: Experienced with hands-on roles in engineering, demonstrating practical skills in dealing with hardware and reliability testing, including RF testing, etc.
• Effective Communicator: Possess excellent skills in talking to stakeholders and conveying technical requirements clearly and effectively.
• Strict and Detail-Oriented: Maintain strict adherence to standards and specifications, ensuring no detail is overlooked in the pursuit of hardware reliability.
• Collaborative Team Player: Able to work with various teams to understand and optimize the hardware reliability process.
• Proactive and Solution-Oriented: Open-minded, proactive, and focused on making things work while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
