At our site in San Jose, California, we are now hiring a R D Software Hardware Engineer.

You will be part of the V93000 instruments development team, providing auto-calibration, self-test and performance verification solutions for our system manufacturing and our customers, where you will be closely collaborating with HW-, SW-, Operations, and Field Application Engineering Teams.

It is mandatory that you have or acquire a good understanding of the related customer applications and use cases and a corresponding knowledge of the underlying V93000 Test system.

In this environment you will be embedded in the R D Team with the expectation that you act, after an appropriate period, as self-reliant team-member and as highly accountable contributor or owner for your assigned tasks.

In this role you shall be able to provide specialist or technical recommendations to management and senior staff to formulate solutions/designs and to resolve associated technical issues related to the V93000 Test-system.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing V93000 instruments calibration, functional test and/or performance verification methods and algorithms
• Designing and implementing functionalities in our Java and C++ environment
• Turning-on and stabilizing HW prototypes' functionalities
• Rolling out and supporting manufacturing and V93000 customers solutions

This position is for a senior- level engineer, however we are considering highly qualified entry-level applicants.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master's (preferred) degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
• Good knowledge in electronic circuit design and measurement
• Basic knowledge of RF circuits and measurements
• Good Java, C++ and object-oriented programming knowledge
• Sound understanding of electro-technical fundamentals and measurement techniques
• Self-starter, well-structured work style
• Fluent in English
• Problem-solver with self-contained and result oriented working style
• Very good team worker with good communication networking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Semiconductor test and technology fundamentals knowledge
• V93000 SmarTest8 test program development experience

Lab equipment knowledge and sufficient measurement expertise to interpret results
