Description

Responsible for ensuring the Franklin Fueling - Fuel Management System (FMS) Product Line and Franklin Electric - Grid Solutions (FE) Product Line meet all Quality Standards and maintains compliance with all Federal, State, and Industry Requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and update the testing and quality processes to ensure product integrity.
• Understands the product application to ensure customer requirements are being met.
• Reviews product requirements and product specifications and provides test assessment.
• Develops Hardware & Software Design Verification Test (DVT) procedures.
• Develops Hardware & Software Field & Life-cycle Test Plans and oversees product field testing.
• Actively participates in FMEA product design reviews.
• Identifies Hardware & Software release candidates for testing.
• Facilitates and tracks the software/firmware release of new and existing products.
• Understands software build environments and regression testing.
• Recommends conceptual product design elements for new products.
• Provides product support to Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing.
• Ensures project test dates are defined and followed to ensure deliverables are met.
• Keeps open communication with project engineers and direct supervisor.
• Attends required meetings as scheduled.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

• Develops Regression Testing and Software Build Environments
• Translates product requirements and product specifications into test cases and routines.
• Occasionally troubleshoots hardware/mechanical systems and performs root cause analysis.
• Understands and predicts physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and their applications to fluids, material, and atmospheric dynamics.
• Understands mechanical and electrical systems.
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
• Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering discipline or related field (Required)
• Experience in Electronic Design and Manufacturer of Electronic Products (preferred)
• 2-7 years or more experience in Electronics Engineering Systems design or test
• Analog electronics design & test
• Digital electronics design & test
• Integration of software and/or firmware to control/monitor electro-mechanical systems
• Design of experiments/certification testing of products developed
• UL, FMEA, Accelerated Life Testing (preferred).
• ISO9001:2008, NFPA 101(00), NERC PRC-005-2 (preferred)

Technical Skills

• Required: Ability to read and understand electronics designs and schematics
• Required: Microsoft Office
• Preferred: Software development languages including C, Java, Linux, Jenkins, Python, UDP, 4-20mA, RS-485
