Job Description
MatX's mission is to make the worldβs best AI models run as efficiently as allowed by physics, bringing the world years ahead in AI quality and availability. We are looking for someone to take overall responsibility for the design and volume delivery of the board and system for MatX's chips. These will be state-of-the-art systems with 100s or 1000s (or more) high-power MatX chips and a large number on-board and off-board high-speed signals.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with other engineering teams on system Architecture
- Collaborating with the chip design team on packaging and pinout (considering high speed signal breakout and high power delivery)
- Collaborating with other eng team on Design for Test and Characterization features and planning
- Selecting suppliers, including a JDM partner, and managing the relationship with them
- Hiring and managing specialized employees and contractors
- Defining and managing the thermal, power delivery, signal integrity, and PCB aspects of the design
- Helping define the system, chip, and software architecture in conjunction with the chip, software, and product teams
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of thermal engineering, power delivery, signal integrity, and PCB design
- Experience leading high-performance system designs
- Experience managing supplier relationship
Compensation:Β The US base salary for this full-time position is $120,000 - $400,000 + equity + benefits
