Job Description
On an average day, you'll
- Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for Hardware development and Hardware product sustaining.
- Take point on troubleshooting product concerns or issues escalated to the engineering team(s) for example from the Tech Support team or the Production team.
- Develop hardware, including circuit schematic design & PCB layout for highly reliable x86 or ARM based products for edge computing.
- Interface with Project Management, managing the technical side of system developments for either in-house designs and/or through partners.
- Work with system, hardware, and firmware design personnel to create project specifications and then execute through the entire development cycle
- Create and maintain technical requirements; design, optimize, and validate devices electrically and functionally
- Be accountable for the end-to-end functionality of all the relevant hardware subsystems as well as the final, fully integrated product
- Lead the technical disciplines that may include electrical and logical design of motherboards; mechanical design of computer enclosures; and embedded software/firmware design
- Determine design approaches; define engineering tests to support design and production
- Engage with validation and regulatory engineering teams to derive appropriate test plans.
- Track issues and assist with severity assessments, facilitate resolutions and/or appropriate documentation.
- Be aware of end customer impacts and ramifications to the usability experience.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Hardware Engineering in motherboard R&D, preferable in Industry PC industry
- Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines in a leadership capacity, such as mechanical, electrical, firmware and product testing, etc.
- Developed products from proof of concept to mass production.

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
