Hardware Test Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you desire to build a hardware for key driving components of Electric Vehicle? You will be part of Ford Global Advance product development team working to test & validate the modules and assemblies in the EV eco system.

• Develop and execute comprehensive component and system level test plans for high voltage power electronics including EVSEs, Onboard Charger, inverter, DC-DC, and High Voltage BMS.
• Design, troubleshoot and maintain End of Line (EOL) testers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product requirements, hardware validation and failure analysis.
• Lead homologation test planning and execution.
• Mentor and work with junior engineers and technicians

• Strong expertise in hardware bring-up, EMC testing, test automation and design validation (DV).
• Proven ability to conceptualize & build HW test setups including end of line testers, specify/select equipment, and peripherals.
• AN understanding of embedded systems and firmware
• Familiarity with Automotive EMC and Electrical testing standards and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for hardware products
• Hands-on experience prototyping, building, testing, and launching electromechanical systems.

• Bachelor's/Master's in electrical /Electronic engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• ~5 years' experience as a Hardware Engineer or Hardware Test Engineer with focus on power electronics.
