Snap Lab is home to our hardware products with a world-class research & development team. We are focused on pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be, specifically overlaying computing on the real world. Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life.
We are looking for a HCI Software Engineer to join our team.
What you'll do:
  • Design, implement, and coordinate the integration of various hand tracking assets across different platforms.
  • Work with teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to create innovative products.
  • Evaluate, test, and debug the work appropriately, striving for high quality.
  • We are a distributed team located across Europe and the US. We are looking for strong software leaders who can operate individually and liaise between different engineering and product teams.
  • Play a key role in integrating ML models across the tech stack

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Good experience on C++ along with solid foundation in system designing and architecture development.
  • Understanding operating systems fundamentals
  • Ability to independently execute of medium sized features
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with different teams
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience
  • 11+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency programming in C or C++

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science.
  • Experience working on Hand Tracking.
  • Experience working with AR internals

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $230,000-$335,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $219,000-$318,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $196,000-$285,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
