Job Description

The Position

The Head of Customer Insights and Analytics will be responsible for supporting the broader commercial organization by providing a variety of service offerings including, conduct of primary market research, revenue forecasting, market assessments, claims analysis, real world data analytics and predictive modeling. This individual will be tasked with the development of an insights and analytics road map to support the strategic goals of the broader commercial organization including upcoming commercial launches. Initially this will be sole contributor role but will be responsible for evolving the customer insights and analytics function with prudent expansion as required.

The Head of Customer Insights and Analytics will formulate and manage an insights generation plan for late-stage products to maximize business potential and performance. This position requires strong in-line leadership as well as the ability to engage and influence across the organization. (e.g., Market Access, Regulatory, Contracting, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, International, Medical, Business Development, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Become an invaluable partner to the Head, Global Cardiometabolic Commercialization
  • Establish vision and strategy for customer insights and analytics function
  • Partner cross-functionally to provide insights to Marketing and New Product Planning to support the company in meetings its strategic goals
  • Confidently present full range of commercial insights and key strategic information to executive leadership
  • Oversee forecast and budget development, refinement, and management in relation to quarterly, annual, and long-range strategic plans
  • Conduct market analysis to create, implement and update strategic product plans and performance objectives as appropriate; including launch analytics to achieve maximum revenue, growth, and profitability
  • Contribute to overall commercial data strategy, including identification of suitable data sources and turn it into actionable analytics that drive data-driven decision making

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years in positions of escalating scope and responsibility within pharmaceutical industry with specific experience in the areas of developing and leveraging market research to inform market and product insights, commercial strategy, data analytics, and sales force effectiveness
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., GPOs, Medical Directors, P&T Committees, referral patterns, etc.), as well as federal, state, industry, company and customer compliance regulations and policy; international experience preferred
  • Forecasting and commercial analytics experience required
  • Deep understanding of, and experience with, commonly used pharmaceutical data sources
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and information, both verbally and written, in a persuasive and appropriate manner to all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make enterprise-wide decisions and remain persistently focused on priorities.
  • Proven history of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment with evolving priorities
  • Works well cross-functionally and can influence without authority
  • Builds strong, cross-functional relationships to leverage Arrowhead’s expertise to accomplish business goals and customer objectives
  • Develops a deep understanding of the franchise/function’s needs and represents them clearly to internal customers

Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the cardiovascular market preferred
  • Global experience
