Job Description

Your crew during this flight: 

As the Head of Accounting and Tax, you will be a key leader within our finance department. You will setup, maintain and drive a world-class and scalable worldwide financial accounting organization. You will be responsible for managing, leading, and growing Financial Accounting and ensure internal control over financial reporting compliance.

Your expertise will be pivotal in achieving our strategy & milestones and ensuring the sustainable growth of the organization. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of an innovative company.

This position is hybrid and requires a minimum of 3 days onsite in Bruchsal or Munich.

Your mission during this flight:

Accounting & Tax:

• Ensure timely and compliant operational accounting for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash.
• Implement and optimize cash management strategies.
• Drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Implement best practices in financial control and reporting.
• Support on financial transactions in the context of fundraising.
• Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage external consultants and auditors.
• Main contact for statutory and tax audits.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Coach and develop team members, encouraging cross-functional contributions.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience as an auditor and/or in a publicly listed company, ideally (but not must) in aviation or automotive 
• Minimum of 3 years effective leadership experience and team management abilities, comfortable with change and a passionate team player. 
• University degree in business administration or qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, WP)
• Experience in establishing & communication of group-wide processes 
• Preferably knowledge in ICFR compliance
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central
• Preferably knowledge in shared service center and scaling financials support functions
• Fluent German and English language skills, experience in an international business environment
