Head of ANZ Engineering and Commissioning Operations
Fluence Office: AU – Sydney or Melbourne
Reports to: APAC Senior Engineering Director
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the operations of our engineering and commissioning teams in the delivery of our energy storage projects across ANZ, as part of the APAC project delivery business. The person will have extensive experience in leading geographically diverse technical teams delivering projects on a turnkey basis.
Primary Responsibilities
• Operational leadership of the technical teams supporting delivery of ANZ turnkey energy storage projects
• Develop and implement strategy to build the necessary technical capability to support ANZ sales and project delivery requirements (in conjunction with the APAC sales and project delivery teams)
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency in technical delivery of projects
• Be the primary point of contact for the ANZ leadership team in addressing technical delivery related requirements on a day to day basis
• Along with our Sales Engineering and Solutions Engineering Directors, be a key point of contact for customers to which we are delivering technical solutions
• Establish strong relationships with key external stakeholders in the delivery of projects, including contractors, equipment vendors, network providers and utilities
• Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including the sales engineering team, the project management team, the deployment and commissioning teams, the services team and the global product and technology team
• Maintain strong communication skills, with ability to represent Fluence in person and through written material with key customers, regulatory and other officials
Qualifications
• Engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Post graduate business leadership qualification (preferred)
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders in the energy industry within the region
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
