Job Description

You'll own and grow the sales funnel at Newance. You'll have a strong track record of success and collaborative team approach to build upon. This role will be new business development focused.

You will have the opportunity to grow a sales team eventually but to start, this role includes hands-on sales efforts.

A few key projects for you in year 1 will include:

  • 70% - Grow top of funnel leads in both volume and value through relationship building, networking event representation and pipeline management.
  • 20% - Refine and mature Newance sales process resulting in increased win rates and higher new client satisfaction.
  • 10% - Advise and participate in ongoing and future marketing efforts. You won't have to build our marketing efforts or materials. Your input will be valued.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B sales ideally around recruitment, HR technology or payroll services. You'll need a track record of setting & hitting BD goals.
  • Recruiting experience is a huge plus but not required.
  • Interest in entrepreneurship. This is a senior level role to scale a company with 7 figures in revenue and a client retention rate over 95%. But we're still scrappy and need that from you too. If you've been exhausted by bureaucracy and politics in a previous role -- you might really love us!
  • Tech intuition. You'll need to be able to speak to how you've utilized technology and how you keep up with tech trends. If you've written scripts to automate something, you're practically hired on the spot.
  • Home base in Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago or NYC. Some travel will be required.

  • Base salary (70 to 100k+ depending on experience/network) and uncapped commission. Fully paid health/vision/dental and 401k match (4% at one year)
