We are looking for a Head of Commercial Sales to join our dedicated Offshore Service Sales team. The role provides an opportunity to operate in a dynamic department working on some of the biggest, most complex renewable energy projects in the world; leading a team of commercial sales managers who are negotiating with customers, putting together compelling offers, and presenting to management and internal stakeholders.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Direct line management of a team of commercial sales managers, including such tasks such as team administration, disciplinary responsibility, performance management

  • Supporting the Head of Commercial Sales to develop and drive strategy, manage the team, and improve processes, including resource allocation and team strategy, training, and development plans, working with the commercial team to establish and implement efficient processes / best practice

  • Supporting Commercial Sales Managers is delivery of their day-to-day role such as sparring with CSMs (Commercial Sales Managers) on commercial topics, customer negotiations either as an escalation point or on projects on which you are allocated, preparation of project specific sales forecasts and budgets

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for,

  • Someone who holds a degree in business admin, finance, or law is preferred

  • Candidate with demonstrable leadership experience, development of team members and strategic thinking

  • Someone who has commercial contract management skills including commercial negotiations, preferable within sales, ideally within the energy sector

  • An enthusiastic individual with ability to work under tight deadlines and within a geographically diverse team

  • Candidate with ability to communicate technically complicated topics concisely to high-level management and customers in a high-pressure environment

  • Someone who has good knowledge of calculation and finance methods and have a strong awareness of commercial financial topics bonds, escalation, currency, indemnities, liabilities, etc. and cost calculation approaches will be preferable

  • Availability to travel 20% of the time, as you would be handling team spread worldwide across the US and Europe
