• Our funnel is large and growing fast (+1M visitors/month, thousands of weekly trial starts, hundreds of ICP readers/content downloads ). This is important, as you'll have nearly instant product and content feedback to inform your marketing efforts.

About this role
As Head of Content and Community, you'll take full ownership of the content strategy, fuel the growth of our audience, and turn visitors into customers and advocates. You'll be the face and voice of our brand, manage all community communications, and inspire a whole generation of content strategists to create scale, process, and business outcomes out of their hard-won expertise.
Your responsibilities

• Establish Writer as the go-to destination for anyone looking to turn content into a strategic advantage for their companies
• Take ownership of the entire content strategy across all mediums including Writer's Room (our blog), social media, and more
• Produce content assets for all stages of the funnel, from blog posts and newsletters to webinars and reports
• Manage the editorial calendar, making sure all content is drafted, edited, published, and promoted on time
• Build relationships with influencers and communities in the space and manage opportunities for sponsorship or co-marketing
• Create and execute the vision for the Writer community
• Organize, co-sponsor, and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
• Engage audiences, influencers, and partners across different outlets, including online forums, social media platforms, Slack, in-person communities, and more to reach our audiences where they work and learn
• Work cross-functionally to produce content and creative for messaging
• Build and manage a team of in-house and freelance writers, illustrators, and video makers
• Use analytics tools to understand the impact of your work and drive continuous improvement

Is this you?

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role overseeing content strategy
• 3+ years of experience in similar role nurturing customer community
• 10+ years of B2B experience
• A proven track record in audience development and content distribution tactics
• Outstanding technical experience with copywriting, editing, and storytelling
• Hands-on experience with social media management
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with influencers
• Understanding of how to build highly engaged communities
• Ability to take AI concepts and translate them into approachable stories
• High attention to detail
• Superb project and time management skills
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative startup environment
• Experience using content management systems such as WordPress
• Confidence using email marketing platforms (Customer.io experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal)
