The Head of Corporate Internal Communications will lead an internal communications team to develop content strategies and programs to engage employees. The position is responsible for regularly engaging employees through internal channels, integrating internal communications into regular business planning and working with various leaders, including those in the C-Suite, on their communication strategy, development, measurement and implementation.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, this role is highly visible, relationship-oriented and reflects a dynamic and growing global company. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated relational dexterity coupled with a keen sense of business and financial acumen, while also being highly proficient at writing and storytelling. This leader will demonstrate strategic success through a metrics-based approach. Standardizing the look, feel and tone of strategic messaging, while encouraging our businesses to adopt and tailor individual communications efforts aligned to their strategies, local cultures and styles.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead the content strategy for corporate internal communications aligned to corporate strategic goals.
  • Guide and lead corporate internal communication team by proactively providing advice, ideas, solutions and development opportunities
  • Oversee all corporate internal communication channels, including the employee communications platform
  • Consult with and support the C-suite (including CEO, CFO, CHRO, CMO) in communicating their key strategic, operational and change management initiatives (i.e., write/edit multiple assets, from internal video scripts, social media quotes, presentations, etc.)
  • Partner with organizational leaders to communicate key strategic, operational and change management initiatives to employees
  • Lead execution of internal crisis communications
  • Establish an interaction model, governance processes and decision rights for all internal communications activities
  • Coordinate and manage collection and application of employee feedback and communication program metrics to ensure effectiveness of programs, messaging and channels
  • Develop strong client relationships based on the ability to think, react and consult in a fast-paced environment
  • Prioritize communication requests, allocation of resources and manage team capacity
  • Develop, deliver and maintain communication technologies, best practices, processes and templates
  • Advocate for employee voice and perspective in all corporate communications.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communication or related field preferred
  • Minimum 15 years' experience managing internal communications for company(s)/organization(s)
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in leading an internal communications function that has achieved measurable results and impact on the organization
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in the development of strategic communication strategies and evaluation techniques
  • Proven experience in dealing with high-level executives and a demonstrated ability to counsel senior management
  • Has a strong analytical ability to determine what is needed to accomplish goals, and see implications and second-order consequences
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams and OneDrive
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapts quickly and remains flexible as circumstances dictate
