About the role...

As the Head of CRM, you’ll lead a best-in-class team to drive customer relationships and lifetime value through all available communication channels. More broadly, you’ll deepen our overall engagement with customers, keeping Policygenius top of mind for financial protection and advice. This is a high-visibility leadership role, with a focus on creating exceptional customer experiences, influencing key business decisions, driving some of our most important business metrics, and leading a talented team. 

This is a unique opportunity to scale a successful program and a superior user experience through a vital company communication channel. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this position will work cross-functionally across the full Marketing team and have high-impact touch points with Operations, Product, Data, Legal, and Engineering.

Base salary for a successful applicant in this role is expected to be $152,000 - $231,000 per year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus. In addition, employees at Policygenius can expect generous benefits and may be eligible for equity. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as location, experience and expertise.

In this role, you will...

  • Create strategic vision, KPIs, and testing roadmap across multiple insurance product lines, CRM communication channels, and lifecycle touch points
  • Shape and support broader strategic priorities around lead nurturing/conversion, increasing revenue/customer, and driving cross-sell 
  • Lead our CRM team to optimize our communication content and cadence through rigorous A/B testing and experimentation
  • Maintain an up-to-date hub of current programs, performance, and insights 
  • Collaborate with our Data team to develop segmentation and personalization strategies that deliver the right message at the right time to the right customer
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on email and SMS marketing trends, best practices, technologies, CAN-SPAM laws, and privacy-regulation
  • Grow our Policygenius community and email database through a variety of on-site, content, and partnership opportunities
  • Measure, monitor, and analyze CRM’s overall business impact and progress toward KPIs
  • Collaborate with our Operations, Acquisition, Content, Brand, and Product teams to ensure consistency across the full customer journey

We’d love to hear from you if...

  • You have 7+ years of experience leading CRM and/or email marketing, company scaling experience preferred
  • 4+ years of people management and hiring experience 
  • You have hands-on experience with:
    • email/SMS marketing and tech platforms (e.g. Iterable, Litmus, Segment)
    • marketing analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics/BigQuery, Tableau, SAS) 
  • You have basic technical skills, including HTML, CSS, and SQL
  • You have a proven track record of working collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Customer Service and/or Sales teams
  • You have superior written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing and internal audiences
