The Chief Business Officer oversees business operations across State Street Global Technology Services, including the vast majority of its employees and thus this organization is integral to the overall success of the firm. Working directly for the Chief Business Officer, this role will oversee the collecting, integration, and reporting of essential data across the firm to allow business intelligence and key performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making and outcomes for the firm.

What you will be responsible for

As Head of Data Analytics, reporting into the Chief Business office of Global Technology (GTS), you would be responsible for a wide range of strategic, operational, and administrative activities that will drive operational data management and executive reporting, potentially including but not limited to data mapping and analytics, quality control, and derivative reporting. Leading the creation of an advanced Business Intelligence reporting function that spans the global CBO organization, some of those responsibilities include:

• Working with various leaders, develop GTS operational data and reporting, including identifying key metrics, leading versus lagging indicators, key performance indicators and key risk indicators, and thresholds for further escalation. Work with senior and executive managers to obtain requirements and iterate materials and visualizations to achieve requires line of sight
• Creating, facilitating and iterating such regular reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cadences. Anticipate upcoming reporting requirements, be responsive to on-going feedback, and actively seek out enhancements based on improved data and functionality when available
• Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the GTS organization to provide support on reporting development and BAU processes
• Driving engagement with State Street Corporate functions to ensure that all reports are aligned to the golden source of data and reduce or eliminate manual adjustments
• Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting across the GTS organization
• Identifying and integrating new applications/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency and engagement around reporting dashboards
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader on Business Intelligence reporting across State Street

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years of experience with data reporting tools, e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, Python, and Database Design, as well as knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard design
• Advanced capabilities in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Proven people leadership skills and executive presence, including executive-level written and verbal communication skills. Comfort in interacting with senior executives on a frequent basis
• Highly collaborative work style and ability to effectively work with leaders who have a range of management styles
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage a wide range of activities
• Sound judgment with regards to matters of significance

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual
