As our business grows, we are evolving better ways of consuming, producing, delivering and managing data to help ourselves and our clients to become more efficient in their Data Management Practices.
Our focus on data as a revenue generating stream within the Asset Servicing business has led us to expand our team in the Offensive data space and we are recruiting for a Head of Data Products (Global) -Asset Servicing reporting into the Chief Data Officer for Asset Servicing.
Offensive data is all about generating data products, data analytics and data services to support our customers in their business and be a leading part of the Northern Trust Asset Servicing product offering.
Key responsibilities include:
• Define the data product roadmap, including the long-term vision and strategy for data products.
• Identify market opportunities while analyzing user needs to prioritize and plan the development of data products.
• Lead a high-performing data product team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success in delivering high-quality data products, while promoting a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
• Drive product development and delivery: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
• Support, challenge, and continually evolve our data strategy while defining our approach to data that will support the business in meeting its strategic priorities over time
• Develop and build strategic relationships with external parties to ensure the definition and delivery of analytics is future-proofed and in line with industry best practices.
• Encourage the entire business to be customer-focused and data-led to drive cultural change.
• Set up a culture of knowledge-sharing across Northern Trust
• Leverage Northern Trust's data expertise to proactively challenge and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Effectively drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure success in delivering the data strategy.
• Work closely with the Chief Data Officer to drive efficiency and optimal effectiveness across the data department, agreeing on budgets, targets, and strategic data priorities.
• Form a core part of the Data Leadership Team that is driving a rapid transformation towards a modern, product management-led approach to data, introducing notable modernity and a flexible, agile mindset across your team and internal relationships.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
• Experience and skills in building commercially productive data capabilities, be that in product generation of data sets and data domains for clients, the generation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) capabilities or Data Services that disrupt the competitive landscape.
• Prior experience working within Financial Services; preferably with experience in the Asset Servicing space
• Proven track record of successful innovation and product launch
• Prior experience in commercial pricing, modelling and revenue generation
• Prior exposure or experience in the Data Management and the Data Products space
• Proven experience in a delivery critical role
• Proven experience in a role which requires networking, partnership building and credibility development internally and externally to an organisation
• Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking, sales pitches or demonstrations
• Prior experience coaching and growing emerging team
