Head of Data Science

We are now looking for a Head of Data Science to lead the whole ML direction in terms of technology, organization and ML Strategy.

You want to:

• Own the Competera’s ML Strategy.
  - Ensure ML Strategy is aligned with Technology, Company and Product Strategies.
  - Own ML OKRs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and top management on a regular basis.
• Participate in regular company meetings as a speaker.
• Communication with customers and their DS/ML teams.
• Decide whether DS/ML/DA expertise is needed in the teams and be responsible for hirings.
• Own mentorship and management strategy for Senior and Lead DS and ML engineers.

You have:

• Experience in a similar position in the company that moved through the scale-up stage.
• Ability to make tough decisions.
• Leadership and mentorship experience.
• Experience in implementing organizational structure changes.
• Experience in the Retail industry.
• Worked on tabular and/or Time Series problems.
• Knowledge of the current state of MLOps. Applied the MLOps principles to their work.
• Experience with Python stack for ML.

Pleasant extras:

• Experience in Causal Inference problems.
• Experience with Probabilistic Programming.
• Experience with optimization problems (marketing spends optimization, price optimization, budgets allocation, etc.).
• Development of XAI (eXplainable AI) in sensitive industries (finance, trading, medicine, insurance, aerospace industry, etc.).
• Experience with entities matching (or deduplication) problems.
• Knowledge of System Design best practices and approaches for complex systems.
• Knowledge of solutions and cloud architecture for DS and ML in public clouds.
