The Role

What you’ll do

The Head of Design will be responsible for:

1. Recruiting and managing the core disciplines of the Design team
   • Product Design - inclusive of UX and interaction design
   • User Research - inclusive of usability research
   • Prototypers - in collaboration with Engineering
   • Brand Studio - in collaboration with Marketing
2. Establishing, scaling, and refining the design process at TaxBit
   • Formalizing and expanding the role of design review as part of the larger software development cycle in close collaboration with engineering and product leadership
   • Establishing and integrating design thinking into all aspects of the product life cycle
   • Driving a rigorous user centered design process that integrates user research and builds user empathy with cross functional partners
   • Building and maintaining core tools of design leverage including the design system and component libraries
   • Owning and evolving the brand and visual identity
     
3. Shaping the wider narrative of the role for design in the Digital Asset space
   
   • Using a variety of media and methods tell the story of the impact user centered design brings to Digital Asset products
     

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience managing a multidisciplinary design team
• Mindset of customer empathy and team success. 
• Excellent presentation skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience in finance, accounting, tax, or crypto industry.
• Consumer/Enterprise SaaS experience. 
• Experience implementing design systems.
