Head of Ecosystem Partnerships
Job Description
Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. This allows passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination. We fuse research in autonomy, robotics, aviation and services to define a new category of mobility for the world’s communities. What we do:
The Head of Ecosystem Partnerships will be responsible for developing the overall partnership strategy and execution in key global markets in alignment with the company’s overall corporate strategy. The role will require leading a small team to drive partnerships with public and private sector entities across various industries to enable AAM ecosystem development in the US and key global markets. The Head of Ecosystem Partnerships will report to the Chief Partnerships and Policy Officer.
Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of their core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:
- Develop and implement partnership strategies to ensure successful market entry in key global markets
- Lead a small team to drive partnerships with public and private sector entities to enable ecosystem development (i.e., government, academia, tourism, sports/entertainment, energy, mobility, infrastructure, FBOs, demand aggregators)
- Identify, negotiate, and implement partnership opportunities aligned to corporate strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Strategy, and Product, to implement commercialization strategy, aligning partnership initiatives with corporate strategy and objectives
- Collaborate with the Chief Partnerships and Policy Officer on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation programs
- Represent the company on panels/speaking engagements at airshows, trade shows, and other industry events
- Provide management to staff that aligns with Supernal’s business plan and overall strategic vision
- Develop and implement go-to-market partnership strategies that align with the company's overall goals and product roadmap
- Craft and continually refine innovative partnership plans for penetrating new markets and expanding existing ones
- Build and lead a team of impactful partnership professionals, driving a high-performance culture while serving to remove obstacles and facilitate the team's work
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key potential and established partners to develop the ecosystem for AAM
- Analyze market trends, potential opportunities, data, and partner feedback to build and improve partnership performance
- Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes
- Assure compliance to and consistent application of law, rules and regulations, company policies, and procedures for all assigned areas
- Prepare and regularly communicate detailed operational and management reports that show meaningful metrics, progress, and insights on performance, issues, and opportunities
- Foster a growth-oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Up to 50% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, or management required
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience
- Minimum of eight (8) years in a senior partnership, BD, or sales role, preferably in a comparable technology/software service company (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Proven leader with a track record of using metrics, processes, and tools to build and implement strategy, make sustainable, measurable improvements
- Proven leadership ability to effectively manage teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Physical Work Demands:
- Remain in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
- Occasionally move inside the office to attend meetings and access desks, files, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer
- Lift up to 10 pounds
- Work onsite
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced office environment
- Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers and somewhat heavy traffic)

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
The pay range for this position is:
$275,737—$441,411 USD
