Core Responsibilities:

• Manage technology infrastructure for key firmwide electronic trading platform at DRW that also acts as an underpinning technology / software solution to a variety of trading teams at DRW
• Drive hardware (server devices, network devices, etc.) selection and utilization optimization
• Drive, or assist with, advanced troubleshooting - encompassing network level, system level, and application level
• Conduct technology planning and continual performance optimization exercises
• Collaborate with Compliance technology team to maintain database of all exchange order sessions for compliance capture and trading team attribution purposes
• Matrix management / prioritization with firmwide shared infrastructure / services teams for implementation of optimizations or new projects, including expanding to new colocation sites / exchanges or expanding scope of activities with existing colos/exchanges
• Help with technology resource management to ensure optimal usage of hardware and global colocation site space and power
• Manage cost allocations of exchange and technology infrastructure out to various global trading teams
• Ensure 23x5.5 smooth production operation of global trading systems and software platforms
• Manage production implementations and trading system support for software platform supporting firmwide trading systems

Required Business Skills:

• Prior experience with electronic trading of equities, futures, options, fixed income, FX or some combination of each
• Prior experience with exchange co-location, exchange connectivity, and communication with technical and business staff from exchanges
• Knowledge / familiarity with various compliance/regulatory requirements globally
• Strong business acumen, with an ability to assemble cost/benefit studies for various technology projects being contemplated
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, and coordinate activities with, internal and external technologists covering various technical disciplines
• Maintain existing established relationships with key technical and business counterparts at exchanges and Prime Brokers / FCM's

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Prior experience in server hardware selection and familiarity with trade-offs of various suppliers and devices
• Prior experience in network device selection and familiarity with trade-offs of various suppliers and devices
• Understanding of networking and communication protocols, for use within a site (LAN) and across long-haul links (WAN)
• Familiarity with connectivity methods and optimizations for various global electronic exchanges
• Familiarity with inter-site wireless communication technologies and methods
• Hands-on technical skills, including, but not limited to, things like ability to analyze network packet captures, comfort with Linux command-line tools, ability to analyze system/application log files, database skills for ad-hoc queries. Python and/or shell scripting skills will be a huge plus
