Job Description

The Head of Employer Services and Business Development is responsible for the operational delivery, account management and financial performance of the business unit offering employee benefit products and services to employer clients in alignment with overall division and strategy.  


  • Employer Services Business Development and Business Performance
    • Responsible for the overall P&L performance of the Employer Services function including individual group financial performance
    • Develops strategic direction for Employer Services in conjunction with overall division and corporate objectives
    • Develop and coordinate ongoing regular financial performance updates for senior management on Employer Services operations
    • Serves as primary whole sale point of contact for captive agents and partner brokers on inclusion of Employer Services product and administrative service set
    • Coordinates with Worksite channel distribution team to maximize overall distribution opportunities within Employer Services client set
  • Employer Services Operations
    • Responsible for oversight of overall operations of Employer Services administrative functions including Section 125 administration; client billing; client account management and vendor management
    • Oversees development of client account management process to support overall Employer Services and corporate strategic initiatives
    • Vendor management for all outsource vendors providing administrative services
    • Responsible for cross-departmental coordination of administrative fee billing for internal and external clients
  • Employer Services Platform Development
    • Oversees development and deployment of benefit enrollment and benefit administration platforms
    • Oversight responsibility for ongoing relationship with platform technology partners
    • Responsible for effective delivery of group and platform implementations
  • Employer Services Partner Management
    • Responsible for relationship management within existing distribution partner channels
    • Responsible for maintaining suite of third party products to facilitate additional direct distribution opportunities or to supplemental offerings of third party distribution partners

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5-7 industry experience required
