Wunder Fleet, under the umbrella of Wunder Mobility, specializes in white-labeled, fleet management software – enabling any company to start their own car-, bike- and/or scooter-sharing service. Our Fleet product includes fleet management backend systems, the customer-facing frontend, and Android and iOS applications for direct rental of vehicles. Our Wunder Fleet unit is looking for a Senior PHP Engineer-Infrastructure (m/f/d) who is willing to take their skills to the next level by joining our amazing Engineering team - the core of our product and organization.

Job Description

As a Head of Engineering (m/f/d), you will ensure the success of the Wunder Rent product by leading an engineering team that will build a product that addresses the most important customer needs and is a financial success for Wunder. You’ll create and foster a knowledge sharing environment and encourage camaraderie amongst your team members while reconciling the company’s goals and people’s needs. 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on managing engineering teams between 5-10 people
• 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, being a team player and solution-oriented
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of backend architecture and mobile products
• Experience working in startups with a deep understanding of challenges and rewards of this unique environment 
• Direct mobility or rental experience is a big plus

• Lead and shape the rent engineering team, helping them succeed in their tasks and keeping them motivated and on track in their deliverables
• Provide strong leadership skills to mentor and coach the engineers in the rent product in their professional growth
• Continuously monitor and improve team engagement, motivation and retention through the upscaling of the technical expertise of all engineering team members 
• In collaboration with the product team, you will plan the product roadmap and timelines to ship features for our customers at a high speed
• Make long term technical decisions fitting with the product’s and company's goals
• Solve day to day problems and be the stable foundation for successful resolutions
