Head of Finance, Corporate Data and Analytics Technology

Summary

Senior, managing director level technology leader responsible for leading the Finance, Corporate Data and Analytics applications group. This is a highly visible and strategic role. This technology team is responsible for delivering large-scale change program and for the care and feeding of a wide range of finance ERP, corporate data and analytics solutions across multiple technology stacks.

This includes working closely with the Finance and Treasury Organizations across both change and operations. You will also work closely with all levels of business and technology partners to implement and support key initiatives. You will manage professional staff and be responsible for right sizing the staffing needs to meet demands on the teams. Familiarity with Finance ERP applications, Enterprise-wide platforms - Data warehousing, Self Service Analytics, Global Fee Billing and Global Regulatory reporting systems are all part of the job function

This is an exciting time for the corporation, and you will be a major part of the senior IT leadership team for Cash & Corporate Services Technology to move the bank forward. Knowledge/Skills Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong project execution, strong vendor management and leadership skills. This role will report directly into CIO for Cash and Corporate Services Technology

Must be able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management in IT, business units and vendors. Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop goals and to manage and motivate team members towards goals. Prior experience in IT and managing full-time and consulting / offshore teams across multiple locations is required.

Knowledge of financial services industry and Finance Technology is required.

Major Duties

1. Manages multiple systems units or functions through the direct management of a group of managers. Oversees, plans, and directs the activities for the units ensuring that the business objectives are being met.
2. Develops, implements, and communicates an overall strategy for the function to meet both the business unit and the corporation's strategic plan. Directs the activities of the area towards accomplishing those objectives.
3. Oversees the financial and staff resources including developing and managing capital and expense budgets and ensuring that resources are available to accomplish the objectives set for the area. Develops and manages programs to support risk management and compliance objectives.
4. Assumes full accountability for the performance/profitability of the area as compared to the plan.
5. Provides advice and counsel to partner areas regarding systems applications and developments. Identifies business needs and develops cost effective system solutions to solve issues.
6. Completes long range planning and project administration for systems which includes the development and implementation of department objectives and overall systems needs for the business unit.
7. Understands partner's business structure and objectives to create or change an existing system ensuring the business problem will be resolved.
8. Keeps abreast of new systems technology to identify long range goals.
9. Assumes full accountability for the performance/profitability of the area as compared to the plan.
10. Assumes accountability for the performance management, career development, and diversity programs in assigned areas.

1. Monthly & Quarterly GL Close
2. Daily & Monthly Treasury Liquidity
3. Monthly & Quarterly Profitability reporting for Management Group and Board
4. Global Fee Billing
5. Global Regulatory reporting for SEC & Statutory reporting for Finance
6. Data Warehouse for Finance/Treasury & Credit Risk
7. Onboarding platforms for Custody
8. Master Data Management including Data Governance tools for the Enterprise
9. Enterprise-wide platforms - Data virtualization, Self Service Analytics
10. Enterprise-wide Analytics Delivery

Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of various business applications, the computer industry, and various design techniques, usually acquired through related work experience and completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, is required to present system strategy to senior management. Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long-term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment. Knowledge of bank products and services, usually acquired through related work experience, is required to oversee multiple system applications functions. Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for the multiple units.

Experience Required 15-20 years of related experience. Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience
