Board is looking for a strategic Head of Finance Systems to join our IT team. The Head of Group Systems provides strategic leadership for core applications (Finance, HR, Legal), leading Oracle NetSuite ERP support teams, and engaging with senior business stakeholders.
They will work closely with senior management, senior key business leaders, and technology colleagues to ensure the provision of high-quality support, deliver wider application solution governance, and champion the associated roadmaps of improvement projects. This is a hybrid position based in our office in Madrid, Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Governance:

• Lead strategic initiatives and functional governance for core applications.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Manage supplier services for efficient operations.

Technical & Environmental Management:

• Oversee technical management, security, authorizations, and change/release management.
• Ensure system availability, security, and performance to meet service levels.

Application Support & Development:

• Provide high-quality support and governance for application solutions.
• Lead development and support teams, managing internal and 3rd party providers.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

• Interface with 3rd party service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and enhancements.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

• Establish a flexible team structure with appropriate skills.
• Mentor and guide the team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure systems meet legal and audit requirements.
• Maintain measures for system continuity and recovery in case of incidents.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

• Develop regular reports against service targets.
• Champion improvement project roadmaps.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Strong Oracle NetSuite experience.
• Significant IT applications and support management experience.
• Coupa or other P2P solution experience is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead high-performance and geographically dispersed teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
