Head of Game Operations

We are searching for a Head of Game Operations to help define and execute the strategy for the launch and live operations of a AAA game. This individual is entrepreneurial, service oriented, and is well versed in all aspects involved with shipping and supporting online AAA titles. The Head of Game Operations will partner closely with key stakeholders across Production, Platform, Legal, QA, Customer Service, Marketing, and Publishing to achieve success through launch and beyond. This position will report to the President.

Responsibilities

• Be sole point of contact for establishing business relationships with third party and cloud hosting providers, customer support, quality assurance, NOC and localization
• Define and execute strategy in areas of Age-Ratings, Content and Publishing review
• Lead First Party Management, including entitlements and certifications
• Manage worldwide online testing, including worldwide Alpha, Closed Beta and Open Beta launches
• Oversee QA operation expansion, including Live QA, and Cert QA with third parties
• Manage Customer Support and Live Operations
• Work closely with Publishing, Marketing, and Community prior to launch and post-launch with a concentration on retention and growing player base
• Understand analytics, cloud services, localization, ratings acquisitions
• Communicate with fellow leadership team on status. Collaborate with departmental leads to solve problems, mitigate risk, and drive our service oriented strategy forward
• Manage internal and external relationships, including domestic and foreign ratings agencies

Requirements

• 10+ years relevant industry experience, and a proven history in a senior-level multidisciplinary management position
• Deep understanding of market rates for online game related vendors
• Extensive experience operating a service based or operational business unit
• Prior success in crafting a strategic vision that was communicated clearly and adopted through all levels of an organization that delivered results
• Ability to work well as a leader and communicate effectively
• Flexible and able to adapt to growing organization and deal with the Studio's changing needs and priorities
• Love of video games

Preferences

• Bachelor's Degree in management or equivalent professional training
• Shipped at least 1 AAA title with live operations

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $180,000—$240,000 USD
