Amplitude is looking for a Head of Global Sales Development to lead our highly visible and motivated SDR team located in North America, EMEA, and APJ. This leader will serve a key role in developing, prioritizing, and executing on the right strategic initiatives to achieve pipeline targets as we grow and scale as a business. The ideal candidate knows how to build repeatable processes to drive consistent and predictable performance, and is someone who is . data-driven but understands the art of building a thriving sales culture founded on humility, ownership, and a growth mindset.
As the Head of Global Sales Development, you will:- Build and lead a growing, impactful global team of sales development reps (SDRs) that generates new business opportunities for Amplitude.
- Attract top talent, train, and promote. We believe the SDR organization is the training ground for the future sales and other departmental leaders of our company. Ensure there’s a clear career development plan in place for the team.
- Motivate success at the SDR and SDR Management levels with the right incentives and stretch goals that encourage everyone to strive for consistent, strong results.
- Cultivate and empower a great team of SDR managers, founded on one clear vision for the organization to drive the adoption of consistent processes and outcomes. Drive rigorous sales development execution and oversight, ensuring accurate forecasts and transparency.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to drive efficient and effective lead follow-up and conversion to pipeline.
- Partner with revenue and marketing operations to ensure the team has the best tools to do their job, and that they are configured to optimize SDR efficiency and productivity.
- Work with the Revenue Operations and Sales Enablement teams to assess performance, identify gaps and set appropriate training priorities.
- Identify and manage the performance and retention risks in your teams, and effectively forecast teams’ results against monthly and quarterly goals.
- Help create a fun sales culture, where people love coming to work by maintaining a high level of enthusiasm and celebrating successful outcomes with the team.
- An energized and inspirational Sales Development leader with a consistent track record of 10+ years’ leading highly productive and successful sales teams within a Technology SaaS organization. You instill a competitive spirit within your organizations.
- Experienced operating in high-growth environments and love to build. You’ve grown teams and operated at scale, with experience leading and motivating people managers and teams of 40+ sales reps.
- A leader who balances firmness and fairness in building an impactful and engaged team. And you are adept at articulating a vision and goals that feel ambitious and attainable.
- Opinionated yet open-minded about prospecting and pipe gen methodologies and best practices; you whole-heartedly apply learnings from past successes and mistakes.
- You use data to help you influence and make decisions.
- You possess good interpersonal skills and collaborate well cross-functionally and cross-regionally to achieve the best outcomes for the business.
