PeopleCert is currently looking for a Head of Global Tax to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services. The successful candidate will monitor reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes. The successful candidate will be reporting to the CFO.

As a Head of Global Tax, your tasks will include the following:

  • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
  • Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
  • Research a wide range of tax issues related to a variety of entities and their affiliates.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Participate and provide support in various international planning initiatives to determine the potential federal and international tax impact and perform technical transaction/reporting analysis
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger
  • Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests
  • Manage and maintain proper documentation to support various tax related attributes, including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, book and tax differences
  • Supervise and lead the staff through counsel, guidance, and coaching

What we look for:

  • Qualified accountant with a degree from a recognised accountancy body (ACCA/CFA/CPA)
  • Prior experience in a Tax Manager role, in international entities is a prerequisite
  • Prior experience within a challenging role, in an international environment- experience in a service- oriented environment is a plus
  • Proficient user of Tax software packages. Working knowledge of Navision ERP will be considered an asset
  • Expertly numerate and able to work with Microsoft Excel to an advanced degree
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Excellent command of English is required (C2 level certification desired, or certificate would be a plus)
  • Analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • Interpersonal and commercial skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels with ease; ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
